Community Builder is a very useful plugin for Joomla that allows users to manage subscriptions to our site in a very simple and completely automatic. The add-in, as well as provide an updated picture of the registered users of their information and their online presence, offering the possibility the site administrator to use the features provided by other plugins to allow each user to manage a blog staff, participate in discussions within a forum, or to subscribe to a newsletter.

The installation of the plugin and its location in the Italian language are very simple, but you must carefully follow some important steps to successfully complete the procedure. We must of course download the package containing Community Builder from the official website, following this link .

To start the download you need to make the previously 'free membership to the portal from this page and login to the site. At this point we will see at the bottom to the download page a new button that will allow us to download the file. Zip.

After downloading the package, decomprimiamolo within any folder. As we can see, we find in these files:

  • Readme-install.txt-new: the Notepad file containing the instructions for a new installation.
  • Readme-Upgrade.txt: is the file that contains instructions to perform an upgrade from a previous version of the component.
  • cb_expert_files_only_j_1.5.tar and cb_expert_files_only_m_4_j_1.0.tar: are two files that are used solely to update the plugin to a newer version.
  • com_comprofiler.zip, mod_cblogin.zip, mod_comprofilerModerator.zip, mod_comprofilerOnline.zip: are the four. zip file which we will use to install the add-on modules and to display and manage subscribers.
We move within the administration panel of Joomla, in the install / uninstall menu extensions. Click the Browse button and choose the package initially com_comprofiler.zip. Then click on Upload file and install and expect that the installation is completed. The upload process may take a long time, since the number of files to load is high enough, so do not interrupt the process before it is fully completed. When finished, a screen will indicate that the first part of the installation is successful.
Now we can load, following the same procedure, the other three packages, mod_cblogin.zip, mod_comprofilerModerator.zip, mod_comprofilerOnline.zip. We look for each of them that the installation is completed and when we finished we move into the voice module manager menu extensions.

Here we have to enable the three items that will allow us to make visible the areas that we have just installed the plugin. These CB Login, CB and CB Workflows Online. Click the red X on the right of each of these items to enable them. Then we disable the modules you normally use to allow users to login to our site and see who is connected ("Login", "Who Is"), in order to prevent the duplicate panels relating to the management of members.

Now click on the menu and choose components and then later Community Builder configuration. As we see a message at the top tells us that we still have to make another important step to complete the entire installation of the plugin. We click on the link please click here to continue next and last installation step. Only now a new screen will confirm that the add is fully configured and ready to be used.

But before you see the detailed characteristics of the plugin will install the files needed to make Community Builder in Italian. Download the new package via this link , but this time it will need to unzip the files that are inside. To change the language of the component we move into the plugin section in the menu management component and community builder. Click the Browse button and load the. Zip file we just downloaded. Immediately after installing the plugin will be completely transformed in our own language automatically.
