Create a Flash Gallery with SimpleViewer

In this article we will see how to create in minutes a beautiful photo gallery in Flash. In fact we will not even need to open Flash ... work, in fact, is already beautiful than ready!

On the web, in fact, you can find many scripts "cooked" to create galleries of pictures, but what I am presenting today is, in my opinion, very well done: esenziale, functional and easily customizable!

The script in question is called SimpleViewer, and is developed and distributed free Airtight Inc.
The features of this script are so many, just a few:

• customizable colors and sizes;
• cross-platform, cross-browser

The most interessnte, however, is that you do not need to be to use graphs and learn Flash!

To download the script you must go to the official page of the project. Once we downloaded the package, of course, unzip it to extract its contents.

Inside are several files: the most important is viewer.swf which is the soul of the whole application. In addition to this we find the swfobject.js file (which we already discussed in this article ), a couple of files. gallery.xml html and the file. In addition to these files, there are two folders: images and thumbs.

First we prepare our pictures with our favorite graphics program and save it in. Jpg with a non-progressive. Save Our ​​images inside the images folder.
Now we create smaller versions (thumbnails to be displayed as a thumbnail) and save it in the folder thumbs taking care to keep the same name utiluizzato for the big picture saved in the images folder.
