Facebook: no "friendship" between students and Prof

The school management of Albissola, Ligurian town in the province of Savona, was recently issued a circular in which he advised the teachers to befriend students within the social network of the largest network, Facebook.

What are the reasons behind this initiative? Simply the fact that count among your friends, a teacher could lead students (and also the same teachers) to underestimate the importance of the concept of "division of roles."

The conclusions contained in the circular does not represent in any case a uniqueness Italian, think in fact that in the U.S. state of Missouri has even force a federal law that prohibits the practice of teachers and students hang out on social networks.

The school management initiative of Savona is naturally destined to be discussed, probably sending circulars to standardize the interpersonal relationships in the network would be useless if it were more clear to the notion that "real" and "virtual" are two separate worlds that should never be confused.
