In this article we make a gradient with Paint Shop Pro's start by saying that the help of Paint Shop Pro gradients defines as "gradual mixtures of two or more colors."
Gradients can be used "to paint, draw or fill areas of the image and create special effects or transitions of color." Due to gradients is also possible to "create buttons for Web pages with lights and shadows, glossy coating applied to the objects or to give them depth, a gradual transition from one image to other content within a Web page or using a gradient from white to black as a mask. "

Note: the article was made using the version of Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, however, these steps can also be performed on different versions of Paint Shop Pro

Inside Paint Shop Pro there are some gradients by default. To see them we have to select the paint bucket tool (the tool palette) and click on one of the two boxes of color in the palette of materials:

As you can see, we have chosen two colors: red and pink. Of course you can set all the colors we want, both for the box of the foreground color and brushwork, for both the background and rimepimento box.
It 'important to set the order of the frames, as was shown in the picture above.

At this point (after clicking on one of the two boxes of color) will open a dialog window (see image below) in which we select the tab gradient.

The preview window shows the gradient obtained by the two colors previously set. Click on Edit to open the dialog box shown below:
From the options in the dialog box "Properties and equipment" you can change the colors, the transition points of the gradients and transparency.
Top left is a list containing the names of all the gradients present in Paint Shop Pro Our gradient, for the moment has a name assigned by the default program. To save it we must click on Save As and enter the name to be assigned to the gradient that we are creating, as shown below:
