How do I crop an image with rounded corners?

Here's the procedure to crop an image using a selection with rounded corners. First apply the Rectangle Select tool box on the image the part you want to crop.
Without this go on 

 



 Select> Modify> Smooth
Set the bevel angle and hit enter.
Without this go on 
 



 Select> Inverse
and then press the Delete key and then again 
 



 Select> Inverse
